If you’ve recently purchased a new fragrance from Neiman Marcus but perhaps it’s not entirely up to scratch, you’ll be looking to make a return.
Like most stores, Neiman has a limited returns window; if you miss it, you might end up being lumbered with a product you don’t want.

What is Neiman Marcus’ Perfume Return Policy? In Short
Neiman Marcus allows you to return fragrances up to 30 days after receipt for an exchange or refund. You can return them either using the mail-in process or to any of Neiman Marcus stores.
You can return perfume or Cologne’s for all sorts of reasons:
- Unwanted gifts
- If the item is defective (i.e. broken bottle or the gone off)
- Duplicate orders
- Unwanted items
- Mistaken orders
- If you’ve changed your mind
- If you’ve seen the item cheaper elsewhere
Provided you are within the 30 days, you are free to return the item for any reason.
Can I Return Open and Used Fragrances to Neiman Marcus?
The strict wording of Neiman Marcus’ policy is that all items must be returned in the same condition you receive them in, which means:
- Unworn
- Unopened
- Undamaged
- Saleable
- With original tags
- With original packaging
However, if you discover the item is clearly defective but you’ve already used it then we’d recommend reaching out to Neiman Marcus to explain the situation

How to Return Fragrances to Neiman Marcus?
Neiman Marcus offers two return options.
Firstly, you can return the product to any of Neiman Marcus’ stores if you purchased the product online.
Just take it along with the box, receipt, accessories, tags and anything it else it came with.
If you want to return a fragrance to a Neiman Marcus store that you purchased online, you will also need to complete the online returns process through the returns page and print off the return slip.
You can also use the mail-in process to make returns.
To do that go along to the returns page and make sure you have your order number and phone or email address available.
Most items come with free returns if you return them within 15 days of the delivery date. All items returned after 15 days come with a $9.95 return delivery charge.

Please note for items purchased in-store, if you return them by mail they must be returned to the store that you purchased them from.

How Long Does Neiman Marcus Take to Refund Me?
Neiman Marcus states to wait between 10-14 days to allow for processing.
With return shipping times, we suggest waiting about 21 days before chasing it up with Neiman Marcus.
Do I Need a Receipt to Return Fragrances to Neiman Marcus?
Neiman Marcus does not have an official no-receipt policy but for exchanges and refunds, in our experience, they will generally need proof of purchase.
As above, if you ordered online, you will have been emailed an invoice upon sale, so have a rummage through your inbox (including junk items) and it should be there. You will also need to return the item with the return slip as covered above.
Alternatively, we’d suggest printing using your debit or credit statement as proof instead.

Final Thoughts
Neiman Marcus has a fairly limited 30-day returns window on fragrances.
While they do offer free returns on most items, this is limited to 15 days after purchase and if you return your item after that they charge a $9.95 delivery fee.
However, they do stock a fantastic selection of fragrances, albeit aimed at the luxury end of the market.
