If you’ve purchased jewelry from Macy’s but are looking to return it; perhaps it doesn’t fit, you’re not happy with the aesthetics or you’ve simply changed your mind, then you’ll only have a limited return window in which to seek a refund or exchange.

What is Macy’s Jewelry Return Policy? The Short Answer
In short, you have 30 days from purchase to return jewelry to Macy’s for a full refund or exchange. However, special orders that have been altered to fit cannot be returned.
Note:
You should note that all Apple products must be returned to Macy’s within 14 days of purchase including Apple watches. Apple products can only be returned to Macy’s stores selling Apple products
You are permitted to return the jewelry for all manner of reasons such as:
- If it doesn’t fit
- If you’ve changed your mind
- If the item is defective
- If you’re not happy with the aesthetics or performance
- Duplicate orders
- Mistaken orders
How To Return Jewelry to Macy’s
If you purchased jewelry such as a watch or ring in-store, then you can only return it to the store. You cannot utilize the mail-in process.
If you purchased the items on Macy’s website then you use either the mail-in returns process or return the product to any of Macy’s brick-and-mortar stores.
To initiate the mail-in returns process, head to Start A Return where you can either log in to start the return or use your order number and email or phone number.
You will then be given the option to print the return slips with the pre-paid return label.
You can then attach the return label to your jewelry and return it via your local UPS’ drop-off location.
You should note that for Pandora jewelry, you must return it in-store to a Pandora Shop located in a Macy’s department store.
Does it Cost to Return Jewelry to Macy’s?
In short, the answer is that it shouldn’t cost you anything to return your item.
Macy’s does not charge a restocking fee and return postage is provided free with UPS.
However, they do not refund your initial postage fees from when you bought the product.
Do I Need a Receipt to Return Jewelry to Macy’s?
Macy’s stipulates that you can return jewelry to them without a receipt but you will only be refunded with a store credit to use in-store at a Macy’s branch.
If you ordered online then you will have received a receipt to your registered email. Macy’s can also track down your purchase using your credit/debit card.
If you do have a receipt then the card you originally used to make the purchase will be refunded.
If you have a gift receipt then you will be refunded in store credits rather than cash.
How Long Will it Take to Get a Refund After Return Jewelry?
Macy’s says to allow up to 14 days from them receiving the items as they need to do extra checks when receiving back jewelry.
It will therefore take around 21-28 business days to receive the money back in your account as you need to allow for return shipping times in addition to the 14 days for them to process the return.
However, timings may vary depending on how fast your credit card or bank is at processing refunds.

Final Thoughts
Macy’s offers a paltry 30 days to return most jewelry items to them from the date of purchase which should be enough for most people but it’s hardly the best out there.
This is extended to 30 days from the event if you order jewelry as part of a gift registry.
However, Macy’s does offer free returns on all of its jewelry items, albeit for certain lines you will need to return them in-store (Pandora for example).
