If you’ve purchased underwear from Costco but are looking to make a return; perhaps it’s poor fitting, has developed a fault, or is an unwanted gift, then you’ll need to get up to speed with Costco’s return policy.
Most stores have a limited timeframe in which you can make a return so it’s important to act quickly if you want to secure a refund or exchange.
To assist there, we’ve looked at how long you’ll have to make a return, how to return underwear, whether Costco will accept worn underwear, and much more.
Let’s take a look…
What is Costco’s Underwear Return Policy? The Short Answer
In short, you can return underwear to Costco at any time after purchase for a full refund or exchange as part of Costco’s 100% satisfaction guarantee promise.
This means you can return underwear if:
- It doesn’t fit
- It’s an unwanted gift
- It was ordered by mistake
- Duplicate orders
- You’ve changed your mind
- It’s defective
Pretty much any reason will do.
Can I Return Used and Worn Underwear to Costco?
Many stores won’t accept underwear as a matter of policy.
I mean, who wants to receive back a worn pair of briefs?
However, luckily Costco doesn’t mind you returning worn clothing and you can actually return underwear after it’s been worn many times.
Costco’s return policy is notoriously flexible and their 100% satisfaction guarantee means there’s no time limit on when you can make a return.
The key thing is to not abuse the policy. If you’re wearing socks for 6 months and returning them for a refund each time, this is likely to lead to your membership being flagged and even suspended.
Our advice is to use Costco’s generous returns policy when you genuinely need to and to refrain from making repeated returns if you don’t really need to.

Costco’s 100% satisfaction guarantee promise on underwear is pretty hard to beat with only Nordstrom matching it out of the competitors we looked at.
